Actor Mayyank Verma opens up about his heartfelt views on love, relationships, and his ideal Valentine’s Day....

On Valentine’s Day, we caught up with actor Mayyank Verma to discuss his thoughts on love and relationships. For Verma, love is more than just an emotion—it’s a conscious choice. “Love, to me, is a deep connection that grows with time—whether in family, romantic relationships, or friendships. Initially seen as an emotion, I now see it as a choice to care, support, and grow together. The love of a mother and family is unconditional and incomparable. I put that above all,” he shared.

When it comes to romance, the actor admits he’s old-school. “I am yet to receive or give romantic gestures as I have not been in relationships, but to answer the question, when I think, I realize that I am an old-school guy in love. The presence of the person matters to me. Apart from that, writing cards, letters, and small surprises like a long drive—I find more meaningful,” he revealed.

Ideal Valentine’s Day

“My ideal Valentine’s Day would be low-key but meaningful. Spending the day with someone who values simple moments—maybe a walk, good conversation, and a candlelight dinner where I cook for her,” he said with a smile.

Verma also shared the best relationship advice he’s received, courtesy of his brother-in-law. “The best relationship advice I received is from my brother-in-law, where he says to devote yourself in love apart from honesty and respect. Just be in the moment. If you are spending only an hour with your love, give your best in it. Time spent should bring happiness, which keeps you energised and satisfied. And I truly believe in it,” he concluded.
