The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) has entered into a new chapter of collaboration in India through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Edge & Essence, the global lifestyle magazine founded by Ajuli Tulsyan. Signed on 14 August, the partnership aims to strengthen peace initiatives by weaving media, culture, and community voices together.
At the heart of the agreement lies a shared commitment to amplify women’s voices and peace-driven efforts. The partnership outlines a cooperative framework that includes promoting IWPG’s peace campaigns in the media, producing features on local activities and women leaders, extending the reach of peace events through social platforms, and co-hosting forums and discussions in India.
This understanding builds on an already active relationship between the two organisations. In recent months, IWPG and Edge & Essence have collaborated on the Women Peace Lecturer training programme, encouraged participation in peace lectures, and introduced schools in India to the International Loving-Peace Art Competition.
Speaking about the significance of the agreement, Heo Eun-ju, Regional Director of IWPG Global Region 3, said, “Through this agreement, we expect women’s peace activities in India to become more active and for the value of peace to reach more people. We will continue our close cooperation to produce tangible results for peace.”
Echoing this vision, Ajuli Tulsyan, Founder of Edge & Essence, added:
“Through our collaboration with IWPG, we hope women and children in our region will learn the importance of peace and move beyond conflict toward harmony. We look forward to creating a better future together.”
Founded in 2024, Edge & Essence is a digital magazine that highlights people, success stories, health and wellness, beauty, fashion, entertainment, and global initiatives. With its emphasis on storytelling, the platform now extends its reach into peace advocacy, providing a fresh channel for IWPG’s vision.
Meanwhile, IWPG continues its global work as a non-governmental organisation registered with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). From women’s peace education and solidarity building to youth-focused art competitions and advocacy for sustainable peace laws, its mission is clear: to foster a lasting culture of peace.
