Get ready for a dose of laughter and nostalgia as Bollywood’s beloved duo, Govinda and Chunky Panday, take centre stage on the latest episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle. The fourth instalment of the hit talk show — conceptualised and produced by Banijay Asia — premieres this Thursday on Prime Video, streaming across more than 240 countries and territories.
Reuniting years after their cult classic Aankhen, the actors turn storytellers as they share a string of delightful anecdotes and industry revelations. Chunky Panday opens the conversation with an unexpected fact that even the most ardent Shah Rukh Khan admirers may not know. “No one in my entire family had ever become an actor,” he quips, before revealing, “But my uncle, Col. Raj Kapoor, played character roles and even created the series Fauji with Shah Rukh.” He laughs as he admits that stepping into acting was never part of the family script — until he decided to change that.
Govinda, ever the entertainer, recalls a heartfelt story that led to an unexpected brush with international fame. “Subir Mukherjee’s mother once helped my mother,” he shares. “Years later, when Subir asked me to do his film, I didn’t charge anything — just took a dozen bananas and a coconut.” What came next took him by surprise: “When the song was released, I looked up and saw — Oh my God, Samantha Fox!”
The Coolie No. 1 star also reveals the real source of his legendary dance flair. “I learnt from Saroj Khan, but Kamal Master gave me my unique style,” Govinda explains. “He taught me how to dance without words — to express the lyrics through movement. That’s where my signature rhythm began.”
Chunky, meanwhile, offers a glimpse into his unexpected roots. “I’m the son of two doctors,” he says with pride. “My father was a heart surgeon and my mother a doctor who knew everyone in the film industry — she was the go-to physician for so many stars back then.”
With humour, nostalgia, and rare behind-the-scenes moments, this week’s episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle promises to be an unmissable Bollywood trip down memory lane.
