FROM KARAN JOHAR TO ALLU ARJUN: STARS ATTEND RASHMIKA–VIJAY RECEPTION

The newlyweds celebrated their union with an elegant reception attended by some of the biggest names from film and public life
Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda hosted a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad on Wednesday, drawing an impressive guest list that included Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and several other prominent personalities.
The celebration took place at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, following the couple’s private wedding ceremony held in Udaipur on February 26, attended only by close family members and friends.
For the reception, Rashmika chose a striking red-and-gold sari, while Vijay opted for a cream-coloured kurta and dhoti, complemented with a shawl draped over his shoulder.
Filmmaker Karan Johar shared a picture with the couple and Kriti Sanon on his Instagram story, writing, “Congratulations to the gorgeous couple. Thank you @kritisanon for being my support poser and beauty tonight.”
Kriti Sanon also reshared photographs from the evening on her Instagram Stories. The images were originally posted by filmmaker Homi Adajania, director of the upcoming film Cocktail 2, which stars Kriti and Rashmika.
Adajania captioned one photo featuring the two actors, “Shiny happy people.”
Another picture showed Kriti posing with the newlyweds, with Adajania playfully writing, “Congrats guys. @kritisanon can you stay out of this?”
Sharing another candid moment with the two actresses, he added, “Only love and happiness for you loons.”
Among the many guests, Allu Arjun was seen smiling warmly as he posed with the couple. Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, along with Nagarjuna, his wife Amala, and son Naga Chaitanya, were also present at the celebration.
Other attendees included Sukumar, Neena Gupta and Vivek Mehra, Naveen Polishetty, Daggubati Venkatesh, Radhika Sarathkumar, R. Sarathkumar, Nani, Namrata Shirodkar and daughter Sitara, Sreeleela, and Dheekshith Shetty.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar also joined the celebrations. Sharing a photograph with the couple, he wrote, “Glad to attend the wedding reception of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna and personally convey my best wishes to the couple. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness and togetherness as they begin this new chapter together. @TheDeverakonda @iamRashmika.”
Rashmika and Vijay have long been linked romantically since starring together in Geetha Govindam (2018), though the two actors never publicly confirmed the speculation. In October 2025, Rashmika announced her engagement to Vijay.
On the professional front, Rashmika was last seen in Rahul Ravindran’s The Girlfriend (2025) alongside Dheekshith Shetty and has Rawindra Pulle’s Mysaa in the pipeline.
Vijay most recently appeared in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Kingdom with Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse.
The couple is also set to reunite on screen in the upcoming period drama Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, which is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11.
