Almost everyone adults and kids alike have a sweet tooth and often crave something sweet especially in the summer months. Here is a quick and easy recipe to make some healthy fruit jelly with just a few simple ingredients to enjoy guilt free. What’s more this recipe is gelatin free and suitable for vegetarians!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup fresh fruit juice of choice
1.5 tsp agar agar powder
1/2 cup water
Honey or sweetener of choice as per taste
METHOD
Make a juice out of fresh fruit of choice
Strain juice and add sweetener, keep aside.
Mix agar agar powder with water and let it sit for 10-15min
Put agar agar water mixture in a pan and bring to a boil
Stir continuously until fully dissolved
Remove from heat and mix with fruit juice while still warm
Pour combined mixture into moulds of choice
Let it sit for 2 hours at room temperature or refrigerate for 30-35 minutes
De-mould and serve fresh fruit jelly
