FRESH FRUIT JELLY

Almost everyone adults and kids alike have a sweet tooth and often crave something sweet especially in the summer months. Here is a quick and easy recipe to make some healthy fruit jelly with just a few simple ingredients to enjoy guilt free. What’s more this recipe is gelatin free and suitable for vegetarians!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup fresh fruit juice of choice

  • 1.5 tsp agar agar powder

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Honey or sweetener of choice as per taste

 

METHOD
  • Make a juice out of fresh fruit of choice

  • Strain juice and add sweetener, keep aside.

  • Mix agar agar powder with water and let it sit for 10-15min

  • Put agar agar water mixture in a pan and bring to a boil

  • Stir continuously until fully dissolved

  • Remove from heat and mix with fruit juice while still warm

  • Pour combined mixture into moulds of choice

  • Let it sit for 2 hours at room temperature or refrigerate for 30-35 minutes

  • De-mould and serve fresh fruit jelly
