Earlier, the film’s producer had attributed production delays to the absence of the VFX supervisor. However, the team now appears fully focused on finishing the project, pushing through a demanding schedule

Prabhas’s upcoming action-fantasy The Raja Saab is in its final phase of filming, with the crew currently capturing song sequences across the scenic locales of Greece. The film’s release has been rescheduled to January 9, 2026, after being initially slated for December 5, 2025.
Director Maruthi is working relentlessly to meet deadlines, supported by the technical crew and lead actors Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan, who are deeply involved in the ongoing musical shoot. Only two song sequences remain to be filmed before the production wraps.
A source from Greece shared, “The team is following an extremely tight shooting schedule, determined to complete the film on time despite the challenges.”
Another insider confirmed, “Director Maruthi, along with the technical crew, is working at great speed to finish the Greece schedule. Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan are currently filming a song sequence, after which the team will move straight into post-production.”
Helmed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab—featuring Prabhas in the lead—will finally reach cinemas on 9 January 2026.
