Nowadays, beauty products can be pretty pricey, especially if you are on a tight budget.
Here are five basic two-ingredient hair and body recipes that can be produced in minutes using things readily available in the home.

1. Dry shampoo:
Most of us dread bad hair days, especially when we have an important function to attend and don't have enough time to wash our hair. A simple solution is to use a dry shampoo, which may completely change and refresh your hair. To make your own dry shampoo, simply combine cornflour or arrow root powder with a small amount of unsweetened cocoa powder. Add extra chocolate to achieve a darker colour. Simply apply and brush to distribute evenly, resulting in voluminous hair that looks just like washed hair.
2. Toothpaste:
Make your own toothpaste with only two ingredients and no needless chemicals, etc. All you need is equal parts coconut oil and baking soda, mixed thoroughly, and your own DIY toothpaste is ready. You can also add a dab of sugar and peppermint or clove oil for extra flavour. Store the toothpaste in a glass container in the refrigerator to firm up when the coconut oil hardens, or at room temperature for a little runny paste.

3. Body Scrub:
Make a fast body scrub using equal parts brown or white sugar and coconut oil. Sugar, a natural exfoliant, works well as a scrub, while coconut oil replenishes the skin. You can also add spices like cinnamon or ginger powder, as well as your favourite essential oil, to make a pleasant-smelling scrub. This can be kept in a clean glass jar at room temperature for up to 3-4 months.
4. Face Mask:
A relaxing calming face mask for clean, bright skin is made by combining fresh mint leaf paste and honey. Apply for 10-15 minutes, then wash for clean, radiant skin.
5. Mist / Toner:
Simply combine roses and water to make a quick and easy toner or face spray. All you have to do is boil some water and rose petals until the mixture has reduced to half and turned the colour of the petals. Cool, filter, and store in a spray bottle in the refrigerator. Use the toner face spray after cleansing your face and let it to dry for revitalised skin.

A WORD OF CAUTION
While most of these recipes employ primarily natural substances, if you are allergic, have sensitive skin, or have an underlying condition, you should visit a doctor first.
