Summer 2025 delivers a vibrant blend of grounded neutrals and lively hues. At the heart of the season lies Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse—a rich, comforting brown that anchors the palette. Soft pastels (powder pink, butter yellow) bring serenity, while bold shades (scarlet, marigold, chartreuse) electrify. Warm tones like sunset orange mingle with oceanic blues, crafting a season of expressive contrast

Mocha Mousse: A Mood and a Movement 

Though bold hues dominate, Mocha Mousse offers a refined counterpoint. For Ridhi Mehra, Creative Director and Founder, this brown transcends trendiness, “Even though we haven’t explored Mocha Mousse in our current collection, I find it to be a grounding and sophisticated choice for Summer 2025. It’s a modern take on neutrals—warm, earthy, and quietly luxurious.” 

In a season synonymous with brightness, Mocha Mousse brings balance. Ridhi sees it as a transitional shade, ideal for resort wear and accessories: “It signals a desire for stability and conscious elegance. In a fast-paced world, it feels like a return to grounding elements—quiet confidence over flamboyance.” 

Summer’s Soft Power Palette 

Pastels like powder pink and butter yellow remain summer staples, their timeless appeal lying in effortless grace. “Pastels evoke freshness—perfect for summer’s carefree spirit. Powder pink and butter yellow carry nostalgia yet feel modern,” says Ridhi. “I love them in lightweight chanderi or silk separates, paired with ivory or muted gold details.” 

The Bold and the Beautiful 

Scarlet, chartreuse, and marigold redefine occasion wear with unapologetic energy. Ridhi’s advice? “Thoughtful placement is key. A scarlet dupatta over a neutral kurta, or chartreuse in trims, adds vibrancy without overwhelm. Proportion and breathable fabrics keep bold shades wearable.” 

On chartreuse: “It’s daring yet versatile—ideal for co-ords, resort wear, or sheer layers. For weddings, it’s a youthful, energetic lift.” As for scarlet and marigold, “Scarlet is drama; marigold is warmth and festivity. Together, they’re perfect for summer celebrations.” 

Cool Blues, Sharp Style 

Icy and pastel blues offer a crisp, soothing counterpoint. “They’re like a visual breath—calm yet contemporary,” Ridhi notes. “Perfect for kurtas, dresses, or fusion wear with metallic accents.” 

Small Changes, Big Impact

For hesitant trend-adopters, Ridhi suggests subtlety: “Start with accessories or statement pieces—a butter yellow blouse with ivory trousers, or marigold embroidery on neutrals. Keep silhouettes familiar; let colour be the playful twist.”
