EBG Group steps boldly into cinema and content creation, blending creative freedom with strategic scale

The creative ambitions of EBG Group have taken a decisive leap forward with the launch of EBG Films and the integration of long-time creative partner Button Creative — a move that signals the Group’s intent to build a multi-format storytelling powerhouse across films, branded content, originals and digital-first narratives.
Rather than entering the entertainment space cautiously, EBG is doing so with conviction. A dedicated annual commitment of ₹50 crore has been earmarked to fund feature films, biopics, mythology-inspired originals and creator-driven projects — with budgets designed to empower emerging storytellers while maintaining cinematic ambition.
For Irfan Khan, the partnership is about removing friction between creativity and execution.
“Under this new collaboration, Button Creative will drive our advertising films and brand storytelling, while EBG Films focuses on cinema, biopics and originals. EBG Shows will take forward our mindful podcast initiatives. We are building an ecosystem where creators are supported financially and creatively — and where strong ideas can move swiftly from script to screen.”
The content slate already carries scale and cultural weight. Among the most anticipated projects is a biopic on Swami Vivekananda, alongside Vayuputra. The studio is also in talks with a leading South Indian superstar set to take on multiple roles — signalling EBG Films’ intent to bridge mass appeal with meaningful narratives.
Strategic collaborations are equally robust. The Group is partnering with Green Gold Animation Pvt. Ltd., the creators behind the much-loved franchise Chhota Bheem, while working on select projects with Shamsi Abbas, known for the epic historical drama Padmaavat.

For Button Creative’s leadership, the integration represents a rare alignment of creative instinct and business insight.
Shafique Shad Fakih, Shafique Shad Fakih, believes the collaboration solves a long-standing industry gap.
“By working closely with over 25 EBG brands, we gain real-time consumer insight without compromising creative honesty. It’s where instinct meets discipline — and where ideas are built to truly perform.”
His co-founder Rohit Prakash adds that the partnership removes layers of approval that often dilute bold storytelling. Constructive collaboration — including brand campaigns featuring actress Mrunal Thakur — has already created a creative environment where strong concepts are encouraged rather than restrained.
From an operational perspective, Akanscha Ravindra Srivastava sees the integration as a growth catalyst — strengthening in-house studio capabilities while embedding creativity deeply into EBG’s broader brand culture.
The vision goes beyond cinema alone...
According to Hari Kiran, EBG is simultaneously building branded content ecosystems for companies such as Carlton Wellness and Acer Electric, alongside launching a podcast series spotlighting underdog founders and entrepreneurial resilience.
“Sustainability, storytelling and social impact are not separate pillars for us — they are interconnected. Whether through films, brand narratives or community-driven content, our aim is to inspire while creating measurable value,” he explains.
With EBG Films, Button Creative and a growing slate of ambitious projects, the Group is not merely entering the entertainment industry — it is building a modern creative institution where cinema, content, commerce and culture converge.
And in a landscape hungry for stories with both heart and scale, EBG’s creative journey has only just begun.
