With the year coming to an end and the festive season in full swing, most of us may be gearing up for an annual vacation to ring in the New Year or simply visit friends and family.
If you are travelling to destinations that are much colder and have a harsh winter, packing the right clothing is key to having a memorable holiday. However, packing those bulky winter sweaters and jackets can be quite a task, especially with air travel luggage weight restrictions adding to the burden.
Here are three tips to help you pack your winterwear light and easy:
Layering: Layer your clothes in your travel bag by rolling them up instead of folding them to save space. Additionally, wear any bulky jackets while travelling on the flight, which you can later remove and store in the overhead compartment or under your seat. This will not only save space in your suitcase but also help you adjust to the temperature and keep warm upon arrival at your destination.
Travel organisers: Invest in a few good travel organising bags or vacuum compression bags to pack bulky clothes more efficiently. These help organise your clothes while travelling and leave space for any additions, such as souvenirs or gifts.
Multi-functional clothing: Choose wisely while packing, opting for clothes that can be worn together in different ways and combinations. Dark-coloured or neutral sweaters and jackets pair well with almost any outfit. Additionally, opt for lightweight thermal wear that takes up very little space, provides warmth, and reduces the number of layers you need to wear.
Get ready for your winter holiday with these packing tips, and make the most of the chilly weather!
